It was my first time shooting at The Normans, a new'ish wedding venue near York which has been set up by husband and wife team, Oliver and Laura Robinson, and what a fabulous job they have done of transforming the family farm into a stylish and unique place to get married. They have thought of every detail, adding some really lovely touches, my favourite being the old cow shed which they have converted in a warm and cosy "snug" for guests to sit and relax in.
So, with the perfect setting, I now just needed a photogenic couple whose wedding I could shoot there....enter the very lovely Scott and Katie who fitted the bill just nicely. An awesome pair who were an absolute pleasure to work and made my job as easy as it gets. Family and friends came from all over the UK (and the world!) to celebrate their special day and everyone clearly had an amazing day.
It was great working with Mark again from Leeds Wedding Video - a top bloke and videographer who is easy going and a pleasure to work alongside. Finally, thanks to Laura and Oliver and all the team at The Normans for their help on the day, but most especially, for giving Yorkshire a very cool and stylish wedding venue!
I got a nervous text from Jonny a few days before their wedding day as England were leading Croatia in the World Cup semi-finals asking if I had a TV screen I could bring with me to show the final if England were to get through, a match which would be played at the same time they were due to be married - not something they had been able to predict two years ago when they booked the date!
